Cru atelier + Suzanne Corcessin
Cru atelier was founded in 2023 by Sarah El Yousefy and Nina Ouchinsky, two Brussels-based architects and designers with a passion for living, organic materials. Their professional careers have made them aware of the environmental impact of construction, prompting them to explore sustainable alternatives. They specialise in interior and furniture design using organic and geo-sourced materials such as raw earth and hemp. Their practice focuses on design research through experimentation and the use of forgotten materials and traditional techniques. Cru sees design as an opportunity to bring back the vital link between humans and their environment in a visible way. Suzanne Corcessin is a textile artist who specializes in feathering. Her works bring into being objects and textiles that confront the viewer with poetic and political aesthetics. Born in the countryside of Nantes, she evolved at La Cambre in Brussels and pursued a master's degree in contextual design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, where she graduated Cum Laude in June 2023. Corcessin lives and works in Brussels.
