Franzel Studio is the creative endeavour of François Desmet (1996), a product designer located in Ghent.

The aim of the studio is to create timeless pieces, both in form and function, to move away from the mass-production furniture seen today. Furniture should be cherished for generations, and not deemed irrelevant with the latest trend. By blending his background in industrial engineering and passion for craft, François creates minimal industrial pieces with a playful twist.

Franzel Studio's work is mostly small series custom-made furniture, lighting design and collectible objects, made with care in their workshop in Ghent.
