Hey Jude Studio

Julie Denis is a textile designer born and based in Brussels.

There she founded 'Hey Jude Design', a textile studio specialising in traditional techniques of weaving, hooking, crocheting, etc. All these creative processes allow her to share her vision through patience and a passion for gesture. With a dual background in fashion and textiles, she places the balance between volume and material at the centre of her work. She prefers to work by hand and loves the idea of designing as a whole, creating from a thread to a finished product.

BRIBES is a project that recovers scraps from weaving warps, and reuses these production 'wastes' through the creation of textile works. A collaboration with the Italian leader in the European silk market: ONGETTA.

BRIBES or the fragmented vision of a landscape magnified by the second state. Silk, softness and monochrome with pastel touches. A deep dive into the softness of the night, translated and painted with silk threads. A dream I've had since childhood. A feeling of comforting well-being from a nocturnal walk across a field. The beadwork creates bridges between real and imaginary vision. Like the volatile illusion of an uncertain memory, raising questions about dreams, memories and unconscious thoughts. »
